NZ grown White Sage Smudge Stick
Salvia Apiana
A native of California, White Sage grows well in the hot, dry areas of New Zealand. For hundreds of years White sage has been considered a sacred, cleansing, purifying and protective plant. White sage smudge sticks can be used in ceremonies and/or to cleanse negative energy from a space or person.
Using your white sage smudge stick
Smudging is a ritual where leaves or smudge sticks are burned and the smoke directed to areas that need clearing and protection. This can be anything a person, a room, building or property.
Light smudge stick and place on fireproof plate or paua shell. Set an intention and move the smoke about the area you wish to cleanse. Focus on the high traffic areas of your house such as doorways and entries.
